Grungy Monday 03 + Simon Says Stamp and Show

Hi everyone, today I'm going to show you a card I made using TH Texture fades, inks, some Tattered Angels glimmer mist and Perfect Pearl Mists.
Over at Studio L3 the challeneg was to use the technique shown on the video. On SSS and Show blog you had to use one of Tim's techniques, so I thought I combine them and enter this card to both of the challenges.
I have built a good few layers of colour, and the glimmer mist gave a very nice shiny effect. The stamp I used is from The Craft Stamper magazine (free gift )
I really like the way it turned out.
I hope you like it too, thanks for stopping by,

GC #94 + Grungy Monday 02

Hi everyone, I have completely forgot about Linda starting the new weekly chanllenge and I even missed the first one. At Studio L3 Grungy Mondays will be the name of the weekly challenge filled with techniques by Tim Holtz. In Grungy Monday 02 we visit Ranger Ink and try this technique: Distress Ink with Studio Multi Medium.
I wanted to make an altered envelope with a card for my friend's B'day, so I used the technique on the card and envelope as well.
Here are some pictures:
The envelope:
I die-cut the bird from black foam and used as a stamp. The flower and moth are from PaperArtsy and the crackle stamp is from Crafty Individuals. I machine stiched a half of a tag for the address. Somehow I couldn't get better photoes than this, it doesn't give its justice. I used Gloss multi medium, so the bird has a shiny finish, it gives and interesting texture to it. I also cut the bird out from scrap paper, and used it as a mask when stamping the flowers and the crackles.
The card:

I used the same colours and stamps on the card. Here I stamped over the resist area with some Archival Coffe Ink. Here's a shot from the inside:
The tag is cut out from and envelope, I like the craft feel to it. I attached a stamped moth onto a paperclip and used it as a little embellishment inside. Here a closer pic:

I used office supplies to create my set and I'm entering this to the Gingersnap Challenge #94

Don't forget about our submission call over at Crafting Ireland.
That's all for today, I hope you like it, thanks for visiting,

art journaling every day

hi, I'll be quick. Two things I have to show. 1. A tool and journal bag and 2. today's art journaling.
I bag was a lunch bag with SpongeBob on the front. It went through major transformation. Here it is:
 and

It is the perfect size to keep my journal and tools in it.
I had a half an hour for journalling today, this is what I made:

I made this background using some acrylic paints and an old plastic card to swipe the paint, some distress inks and some crackles stamped and that's it, ready. I don't know how I will go on, I'll see tomorrow.
Thanks for visiting,
