Pencil Lines - Sketch 239

Hi all, today I'm showing to you a layout that I made using the sketch from Pencil Lines.
What did I use to create this LO? Paints&inks and more paint&inks, built my layers on the top of each other. I have to admit I wasn't 100% happy with my first result of the background, but then I put more layers and I'm happy enough to show. I used masking tape to make the frills around the circle element. The black circles were made with a toilet roll.

So what do you think? Like it?

Other. I decided to challenge myself and make 30 scrapbook layouts before I turn 30. I will make ine layout each week and as I counted I need to start on the 4th of June (I have to check the counting thought.)My birthday in on 7th January. So this will be my scrapbooking adventure for the rest of 2011.
thanks for visiting :)

Belle Ragazze

Hello and Happy Sunday :D. I am full of energy, don't know why, just happy as I can be. Yesterday I got inspired by a sketch I saw at Sketchy Thursday, so I made a layout with it (turned the skecth 90 degrees). When I was  looking through all my printed pics, I found one which was taken in the Botanical Garden in Padova. And I thought that was a good moment to unwrap my huge Donna Downey foam stamp that I keep in a secure place in the house. I just love the size of it and look forward to buy another one.
Here is the layout:

It is quite a simple layout, I mean there are no layers of DP on it. The background paper is from October Afternoon, I had to tone down the brightness of if with some Airbrush paint and some gesso. Then I mixed some greens and teals to stamps with and then some black paint droplets and the background was ready for me to build my flower cluster around the pic.
Over at The Creative Type blog the challenge for May is to use foreign phrases on your layout rather than your native language. My title is in Italian, says Beautiful Girls :D. Used TH die to cut the letters and coloured them with lots of distress inks and then covered with Rock Candy crackle paint. And then more and more distress inks. The layout is very dimensional (suprised??), I used Liquid Scrapdots, I am sooo happy that finally we can buy it here, in Europe, cos it is so cool.( I got  it from Craft Emporium) To achieve dimensional effect I put the pic onto foam dots and even tucked one of the big flowers under it.
I am entering this layout ot Sketcy Thursday and to The Creative Type.
I hope you like it, thanks for stopping by,

just a few layouts

hi, I want to show you these layouts I made a few weeks back to the Scrapbook magazine. They didn't make it for the next issue, so it's time to show them to you.
The fiorst one is: Mother. This is about my mother and my grandmother. I have bulit a lot of texture on it, with paints, tissue paper, sewing machine and foamdots. I used the new Csomo Cricket paper: Upcycle.

The other one has even more texture :) I have embossed some Ten Seconds Studio metal sheets and then cut the shapes around. This one is about my farewell party I had when I was leaving Hungary. I didn't have any proper picture taken in the party, so I felt that these, where people can be seen "in parts" is a good way to express the party feel to the layout. Very busy background paper from We R Memory Makers.

Don't forget to pop over to Crafting Ireland, our first issue is out!!!

I hope you like these, thanks for stopping by,

I used many product from TH as you can see. I managed to get my messy hands onto the new Kraft resist paper, and absolutely love it!! I also used some of the new Distress Stains, have to buy more of those :D
