New Challenge Blog and Guest designer month

Good Morning Everybody,
There are lovely news I want to tell. First of all, today is the day of launching the new challenge blog for all of you 'flower-obsessed'. Here is it: Pocket full of Poises. Thanks Katie for organising it for us :D:D.

Also I wanted you to know that I was offered a one month guest designer post which I happily accepted. Thanks Katie again :D

So onto the challenge: the theme for this fortnight is: 'One for the girls' and here is my take on this:

This is a baby girl card for a very special friend. I made it as a criss-cross card so she can pull the white insert (which says 'Sweet Wonder) out, write a message onto it and there is also a little pocket for some yummy gift card. (no photo YET, sorry).
The paper I used is from the Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby Collection. The image is from Whiff of Joy and I coloured it with my promarkers. I have added lots of flowers and all from Wild Orchid Craft, our launching sponsor. Pop over onto their online shop and have a look at all the fab flowers they have on stock.
Pearls, gems, charm is from my stash.

Don't forget to pop over to other DT members' blogs, they have beautiful creations to share.

I hope you like it and come and join us in our first challenge,
Thanks for stopping by,

9X9 Layout in a frame

Hi Everybody, I hope you're all keeping well. We just enjoy the summer here in Ireland :D:D
Today I'd like to show a layout I made for a friend. The size is 9x9 to fit the frame from IKEA.

So this is it. I have used Mariposa paper collection for the background and for the photo mat. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft except of the big one, that's from Prima.

The birdcage and the bird is from Maya Road. I have coloured the bird cage with perfect pearls and then added a good few coat of UTEE. The pearls are also from Prima ( cut into pieces :D )

I have made a cut into the background and curled the edges and after I coloured it with distress inks. (the idea is not mine, I got it from Marion Smith, my greatest inspiration) I placed an old book page behind the frame which I coloured and UTTE-d the same way I did with the cage. The sentiment was written with my new calligraphy pen.

I hope you liked it, thanks for looking,

Pocket Mini album - Dream Journal

Today I'd like to show you a mini album I made for a friend. This is a pocket mini album made from brown envelopes. I have used BG Marrakech Collection.
Here are some pictures of the cover and more  can be found in this webalbum.

I tried to make it a little grungy, so I inked all the papers a lot. There are things hanging from everywhere: charms, beads, metal pieces, fibres.

The big flower was made by me. Actually this was my very first paper flower I made upon Michelle Roos tutorial and originally it was yellow. As I didn't know where to use that time I have placed it into a little drawer and now I just found it and was very happy with it. I sparyed it with Jupiter Glimmer Mist and placed a big bling in the centre.

I love this twill tape, it says favourite things on it and it is from Creative Impressions. I added to the cover to slide the journalling card behind.

I hope you liked it, thanks for stopping by,

Prize from The Craft Barn

Here is a picture of the prize I receive from the Craft Barn after being the winner of the mini album competition in May.
Look at those lovely things, and my absolute favourites are the prima flowers and the Belles'n Whistles Stamp.

Thanks again for the Craft Barn shop organising the competition and offering  a great prize.

Just Magnolia - Mina's sketch

Over at Just Magnolia the lovely Mina gave us a sketch to follow, I am gonna enter this card there.
I have used Fairy Dust Tilda and I coloured with my Promarkers. Papers are from Basic Grey Marakech Collection. I distressed and inked the edges of the centre element, used broken china distress ink.

Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and from Prima. I coloured them with distress ink, and sprayed with some glimmer mist. I used a lot of stickles for the fairy dust, it is so sparkling now :D.

I hope you like it, thanks for watching,

Friday Sketchers #106 +Crafty Angels + Magnolia Down Under

A friend of mine asked me to make a card for her granddaughter. This is what I came up, I wanted to use my new Magnolia images which I received ages ago but was too busy to play with them.

I have used this Tilda with bubbles, isn't she beautiful, look at her hair, absolutely wow :D. Coloured her with my Promarkers. I used BG papers and made the card following the sketch given at Friday Sketchers and I am going to enter my card there.
Flower are white Pirma E-lines, I coloured them with distress inks and misted with tattered angels.
I am also entering this card to:

Totally Tim Holtz -Crafty Alley June Kit - Expandable Photo box

I am back again with my second post today Yeeah!!
I just quickly show you what I created using the Crafty Alley June Kit. The Kit is absolutely amazing, I love all the metal parts in it.
The expandable photo box was inspired by Marion Smith at apieceofcraft.com.

So here it is:

I have used the greyish TH paper and misted with some tattered angels to give it a little shine. The base of the box is chipboard which I bought from the Crafty Alley Shop. The box opens if you push the swivel clasp throught the keyhole :D.
Inside there are folders for tags or even for little accordian minis.

I made these folders from brown envelopes. Closed them, cut them into halfs, stuck  them onto each other giving a little space from the edge and finally I cut a 1/8 inch off from the bottom. I glued them onto the front and back and that how it looks when open:

Into the folders I put some tags which I cut from the same paper. Here they are. I don't know why the pic is so yellow, sorry about this.

I kept the tags quite simple, maybe I decorate them more when I complete with pictures and journalling.

The top of the box is decorated with some hand-made flowers, I used my precious TH Tattered Florals die and also added the chip piece from the Kit which I coloured using the Faux Hammered Metal technique by Julia Andrus.

Flowers: I glued some old book pages onto wihite cardstock. Coloured them withdistress inks and brushed over with some Mod Podge mixed with some Perfect Pearls. When all the glue dried I ran through the die-cutting machine and formed the petals with a brush-handle.

I hope you liked it, please feel free to comment.

Spoon full of Sugar Floral Delights - Wedding Card

Hi Everybody, I'm back. It's been three weeks since I posted last time, very bad :( I have been very busy lately and although I was creating I never got to post any of my things.
So for today there is a card to show.  I made it for a friend and I'm gonna enter it to the Spoon Full of Sugar Challenege, where they want to see florals on the creations: floral paper, prima flowers, flower punches.

For my card I used two sheets of the same Papermania doublesided paper. The image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and the window on the card was inspired by Jane, pop over onto her blog and have a look at the tutorial.
So this is the card:

I have made the big Prima flower from E-line Hydrangeas. Pearls are from Kaisercraft and I got them as a free gift with my last order from Simon Says Stamps, isn't it so nince. I used Bazzil stencils to shape the swirls and then built it up from the pearls.
It is actually a trifold card, I didn't decorate the inside, just made a little pocket on one side and left the other blank to write a message or wishes.
I have also made a box for it.

I have used one huge Prima and embossed with a mix of white glitter and UTEE.

This is it for today, I hope I can come back later on and post something else.

I hope you like it and thanks for watching.
