GC #91: Crowns

Back again, third time today. I am experiencing a very creative day and just can't stop thinking and inking :D. I should work on some college assignment though :(. Anyways, I found this challenge over at Gingersnap Creations and I decided to use this quite new stamp set I have.

The stamp set is from Creative Expression and I just love it. I made the chess board background with black soot distress ink. The figures were stamped with broken china and embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is also from the same set. I stamped the crown with gold acrylic paint. Popped everything onto foam dots (for some dimension) and adhered to the card base.
What do you think?

Skipping Stones Design - Sketch

I made this card using the sketch from Skipping Stone Desing. Since mother's days is soon enough I made the card, cos I might not have time later on. The sentiment I used was edited on my computer, I found this quote somewhere on the internet. The background paper is from Basic Grey, pearls from Prima, lace and ribbon from my stash.

This was a quick make again, I like how it turned out.
I hope you like it too,

jus a few things to show...

Hi Everyone, back again to show you a card and some handmade flowers.
The card is made for a friend's birthday, it was a quick make, so stamping, no colouring, although a number of techniques used. Here it is:

I used BG paper and embossed cardstock to make the background. "treated" the chipboard pocketwatch shape with some perfect pearls. Some old book text, few flowers and ready. I enjoyed putting this together, I hope she had a lovely b'day on Friday.

As you probably noticed I take part in swaps, I have finished the flowers for the February flower swap on the Beach. Colour-combo: cherry, chocolate and vanilla.

Cherry red flower: I used TH die, stamped script on the the flowers and then shaped with tweezers, layered them and gave a little shimmer with some glimmer mist (burnt red).
Chocolate brown flower: Sizzix Original Flower layers die. Shaped them with tweezers, layered them and sprayed with glimmer mist.
Vanilla flower: stamped damask pattern with archival coffe ink onto four pieces of tissue paper. Took another four pieces and cut them into 6 petal shapes, layered them and crumpled them. After foling the petals out, spreyed them with some glimmer mist.

I hope you like them,

Altered shoes or how to use your cropodile in "domestic situations"

I have bought a pair of shoes in Penney, they weren't expensive, I should say the were very cheap. But I liked them and I decided to bux them, cos i saw the crafty potential in them.

I don't buy these type of shoes, cos I can't wear them, they would stay on my feet, and there is a fair chance that I loose them when walking. But as I said earlier I saw the potential in them. So I took the following things from my craft corner and VOILA!!

I punched some holes on the side of the shoes, set the eyelets  and pulled the "ribbon" through and ended up with a pair of great shoes. I tried them yesterday and no feel of loosing them at all.

It was a happy weekend. Thanks for stopping by,

back again :)

Hi everyone, I'm back to the blogging world. Today I'd like to show you a few things I made in the last few weeks. Ok, I'm in the process with more things, but those aren't ready yet.
First, handmade flowers. I took part in a swap over on the Beach organised by Lyla. There was a colourcombo to follow: aqua, purple and white. That's what I came up with:

The white one is made from lace, the aqua made using nesties, dipped them into UTEE and layered them; and the purple one was made using the TH die and lot of distress inks and glimmer mist.

The next is a tag I made for Lucy over at the Beach (again :)). Lately I am taking part in many swaps and this one is a 6x6 Goodie swap. It is basicly swapping supplies and there should be one tag in the packet you send over to your partner. Here is the tag. Somehow the pic doesn't do its justice... It is much brighter in real

Last weekend I was crafting at a friend's house and she let me stamp on a few tags.(Thanks Nicole) I stamped the TH birds on the wire and the text. I used a few colours of the distress inks: crushed olive, dusty concord, victorian velvet and shabby shutters. I also used a little Prima stamp to do the checked background ( embossed it with clear embossing powder and ink it again). I like the way it turned out.
This post is getting too long, so I'll come back tomorrow with another fun project I did.
