Just Magnolia Challenge - Sketch by Jay Jay

I am so busy this week, I could hardly find the time to post the cards I have made during the weekend. But today things are getting back to normal, so I can do a bit of blogging (this is my second post LOL )

I am entering a card to Just Magnolia Challenge, where Jay Jay gave us a sketch to follow.

I got stamped Tilda image from Mina at the class last week, and I coloured her in with Distress Inks, using the freshly gained knowledge LOL. I am quite happy with the result (if Idon't see her sleeves, cos I couldn't blend the colours so it became relatively bright) Papers are from Papermania Capsule Collection. I made the elements to overlap on each other after punching the edge with the MS Double Loops edger punch. I have stamped swirls around the image and stickled them, did the same with the swirl in the corner. The sentiment I printed from computer, inked the edges with brushed corduroy, it means: "just a bunch of flowers". Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves I punched with my Woodware punch.

I hope you liked it, thanks for looking,

Lucky me!

I didn't expect in the morning when I woke up that this would be such a beautiful day. As usually I got my coffee and sat in front of my laptop. And...... WOW I won the goodie bag at The Sugar Bowl Challenge. It really made my day, I was so happy (and still am). Can't wait to open the package. Thanks for Funky Kits who offered the prize!!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #67+ Friday Sketchers Challenge Week 90

This is another chapter cover of the recipe book I am working on at the moment (slowly, very slowly hahaha).
I used Melinda blowing kisses image, coloured it with Promarkers. DP is the same MME Oh-lal-la pack still love it, I followed a Friday Sketchers sketch, which was simple enough (not too many layering ) to fit my project.

Like usually I distressed the edges with the brilliant distress tool and inked them after. I stamped some swirls around the image with tattered rose and stickles them. The sentiment is made by me, I tried to copy the hearts from the image. "Csak szerelmeseknek" - means 'only for lovers'. The flower is from Prima and I placed one flat back pearl in the middle.

I enter this creation to:

I hope you liked it, thanks for stopping by.

Monday morning

Good morning! It's me again. I have a bit of a backlog in posting, because I was so busy doing the recipe book ( I posted the cover earlier) and upgrading my craft corner so I didn't get to posting.

The first thing I show today is the card we made on Thursday, at Mina's class which was absolutely fab. Here it is:

I like painting with distress ink, I like that blending the colours is so easy. The colours we used: tattered rose, worn lipstick, antique linen and brushed corduroy.

Unfortunately I have to go to work now, so when I come back I will go on with posting.

Thanks for looking,

Anyone for Anya + Sketch Saturday

Happy Friday Morning!

Yesterday the class with Mina was absolutely lovely, and I am just so happy that I learnt a bit of colouring with distress Inks. I will use this technique again. I'll be back later to show the card we made.

Here is a card I made following the sketch on Sketch Staurday using an Greeting Farm Image, cos I'like to enter it to Anyone For Anya Challenge where the theme is: Flower Power. Here it is:

I just loved the sketch, especially the three little elements above each other. For coloring I used my Promarkers, the paper is MME Spring 2010 ( it was free with a magazine).

I am also entering this to two other Challenges:
Passion for Promarkers
Crafty Angels

I hope you liked it, thanks for stopping by,

Whiff of Joy Challenges - Jane's Lovely Sketch

I have planned to make a recipe book for my friend's birthday ( I hope she will not read it LOL), so I ordered the adorable stamp Willow with Cookies. I am glad that there was this lovely sketch over at WOJ Challenge blog, so I made the cover of the recipe book following the sketch.
This is it:

I have used some MME papers, aren't they beautiful? I coloured Willow in with my Promarkers. I am just after receiving the MS punch around the page double loops, so I had to play with it :)  and also got the Tim Holtz distressing tool, distressing is much easier with it. Flowers are Prima and the lace, brads, gems are from my stash.I used Tim Holtz frame for the text, inked it with Distress Inks (spiced marmalade and scattered straw).

I have taken part in the Class & Crop on the weekend which was great, and I am sooo looking forward to the class with Mina on Thursday. I have never finished the mini album we were making, hopefully during the week I will have time so I will post it then.

I hope you liked my recipe book cover, I will be back later with the whole book.

Easter Basket - Just Magnolia Special Monthly Challenge

There is a special monthly challenge and tutorial at Just Magnolia Challenge blog.  I liked the idea a lot, so I tried and it went quite well. I think I make another one or two for friends ( right after I finished all my Easter cards LOL)
Choosing the right paper was the hardest part of the proccess, but finally I found one in DCVW Far East collection which had the perfect colour combination, just like I had imagined in my head. The redish colour reminds me about those lovely red Easter Eggs which we used to colour in Hungary.
So this is my creation:

I stamped Tilda with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and coloured her in with Promarkers. I also used some Core'dination paper for the butterflies(X-Cut punch), leaves(Woodware), and for the handle of the basket.

Tilda is sitting on a big tulle bow. The edge of the basket is decorated with punched card stock ( MS Doilly Lace). The tulle and ribbon is from my stash.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. For inking the edges I used Distress Ink - Tattered Rose and Worn Lipstick.
I never had the time to buy some chocolate eggs into it, I will certainly do it till Easter :)

The next few days will be very busy, Saturday I am taking part in the Class&Crop at Kildare Kraftz Klub
where we will do a mini album ( I'm a great fan of mini albums LOL); and next Thursday: the very talented Mina Hartley is visiting us here in Dublin, to show some tricks and techniques with Distress Ink. And all this is organised by Annamarie from Scrapbookstore.ie. I say a  big THANK YOU for it.

Hopefully I will be back during the weekend to show what we created on Saturday.

I hope you liked my basket, thanks for stopping by,

Whiff of Joy + Friday Sketchers Challenge

This week I received my first two WOJ stamps, so this is my time to enter a card into this week's WOJ challenge. I liked the theme "Love" and I picked Melinda Holding Heart image. I am quite happy with the colouring ( after two unsuccesful attempt), coloured her in with Promarkers. The lovely papers I used are from DCVW. I distressed each piece of paper with scissors and then inked with brushed corduroy. Around Melinda I inked the paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink which was not the best choice, I thought it wouldn't be that much of yellowish. It means that I have to buy a few more colours of the Distress Ink range LOL!! The flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft ( also received them this week).

The lace, skinny ribbon, and the gems are from my stash. I punched the butterfly out from vellum paper using the X-Cut Butterfly punch and coloured it with grey Promarker. The little leaves behind the flowers are punched with Woodware Grass Punch.

The skecth I followed is this week's Friday Sketchers sketch, and I'm entering this card there too.

Oh and I almost forgot to tell that I have ONE follower of my blog, and I am so happy with it.
Timea please receive my big thanks for being my follower. If you like you can pop over and have a look at her fabulous creations on her blog.

I hope you liked my card.

Folded Mini Album

I saw a mini album on the Docrafts site in the latest video: Creativity TV Episode 8. I wanted to make the little book and enter it to Crafty Angels blog, but I was too late, but I will show the result anyway.

So this is it:

The base is a 12"x12" paper from We Are Memory Keepers. I followed the instructions on Creativity TV. The size of the liitle book is 3"x3".  I covered the front and the back with a piece of chipboard. Distressed everything with Distress Inks: brushed corduroy, shappy shutters. On the front I used some papermania letter and a grungeboard element from the Tim Holtz Ideology collection.

I wrote journalling to every photo, I used an old notebook and inked the edges with brushed corduroy.

I made some hidden pockets for journalling.  I found it is not really a good idea to put too many things into the little book, cos the it is impossible to close lol!

I liked the idea a lot, and already decided to make another one for a friend to put her new born baby photoes in it. I will post it as soon as it is ready.

I hope you liked it, and maybe I made you try it with your own photoes.

3 challenges 1 card

Last Tuesday I saw the new challenge over at Passion for Promarkers, I liked the colour combo, so I wanted to enter. But then the week went so fast I ended up seeing the lovely sketch on Sketch Saturday Blog, I got the idea to combine the challenges. And somehow I found that this little Tilda would be nice coloured in this combo, I decided to enter it to Just Magnolia as well.

So this is the card I am talking about:

I coloured Tilda with Promarkers. The lovely paper I got from somebody but I don't know the brand. I used a little bit of tulle to make the corner part of the sketch and lace to form the vertical rectangle. Flowers are Prima and I also used Woodware grass punch.

I hope you like it,
